ICI Technical Conference & Expo 2026 is the 73rd annual event hosted by the Investment Casting Institute (ICI), the leading nonprofit technical association representing the investment casting industry in North America. The conference will take place in October 2026 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Founded in 1953, ICI represents hundreds of member businesses in a sector that contributes over $7 billion annually to the North American manufacturing economy. The Technical Conference & Expo is the largest North American gathering of investment casting professionals, bringing together foundries, equipment manufacturers, material suppliers, and end-use buyers. The 2025 edition attracted over 600 attendees and 90+ speakers from 20+ countries, with a sold-out exhibit hall.
The program features expert-led technical sessions covering topics such as slurry systems, shell building, alloy performance, automation, AI, 3D printing, and sustainability in casting processes, alongside panels on market trends and benchmarking best practices. The event also includes an equipment exposition where suppliers showcase the latest technologies and solutions for the investment casting industry.
